Disagreements frequently arise and remain unresolved during probate proceedings. These may result from defective or ambiguous wills that have been interpreted incorrectly, or from gifts that were not taken into account or disclosed, thereby reducing, for example, the compulsory-portion claims of other entitled beneficiaries.
